Check the creative process and design solutions on logo design, packaging design for Homebakers, a homegrown bakery shop.
Homebakers is a well-known bakery shop in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It is situated in Avanti Vihar. Homebakers bakes the city's most delicious cakes, pastries and breads. They have tie-ups with D-Mart and Zomato to facilitate instant deliveries for their loving customers.
The story behind foundation of Homebakers goes a long way before. The founder of Homebakers always had an interest in baking; she would experiment, create new recipes and bake tantalizing delicacies right at her home. She came close in setting up her dream bakery but due to marriage and other engagements, she could not devote enough time. Many years passed by, her venture remained only a dream. After a brief halt, she kick started her venture. She established a mom shop inside her home and named it Homebakers. She eventually scaled up her business and created a tie-up with D-Mart Raipur for selling of breads.
Now that the shop was set up, it was time to give it a unique identity. Homebakers approached Teetar Design for a Logo and Packaging design. We really liked her venture and were happy to help.
Our client wanted a typographic logo, which was delicate and minimal. Followed by the branding strategy and creation of newbread packages such as Milkbread, Brownbread, Honey Oats and Garlic Herb. The deliverables also included stationary and marketing materials. The timespan to deliver her requirements was quite less. Our designers at Teetar Design approached this as a challenge and got themselves to work.
Understanding the client- Before we approach any design, our first step is to understand our client. We would want to clearly determine their expectations and requirements. By doing so, we are able to establish an appropriate premise that would helpus crack the design. A logo as well as packaging design is moreabout what it would stand for than rather than what looks good to us. To find the purpose of the logo, it becomes truly important to understand our client.
The design process taken by every designer is unique. In this case, the designer assigned with the task of creating this logo first wanted to understand clearly about the space that the logoof Homebakers was supposed to compete in. He wanted to analyze the logos that were being used by the competitors and others in the pastry making space. By doing so, the designer can be clear and concise about the requirements he needs to meet with his logo.
The client, in this case, needed a minimal logo and this is a space that has been explored a lot which is why creating a fresh logo would be a really difficult task. However, after analyzing many logo designs and seeking for the right inspiration, our designer was finally ready to take on the task.
The designer now knows that it is important to have a well-balanced logo that has a personal touch to it along with a senseof minimalism. Our designer usedAdobe Illustratoras his weapon of choice for this design. He worked on many renditions of the logo until he would arrive at the one that fittedall pre-requisites.
Here is the finished logo for Homebakers. As you can see, the designer tried to meet all the demands that were specified by the client and also tried to add a unique and practical flavor to the logo. The logo follows a minimalist approach and the handwritten custom font adds a personal touch to the logo. Thetagline also blends in perfectly with the logo, creating a strikingbalance and making the logo look very professional.
As our client had a tie-up with D-Mart, she wanted her packaging design to be perfect and easily identifiable from the rest. The packages were to be kept alongside with competitors' products. Our designers made sure design of the package is clearly readable, standing out and eye-catchy. At the same time the packaging needed to looked appetizing and beautiful too.
After various iterations, the client and us reached a common ground and finalized the design.
At Teetar Design, it is important for us to deliver the best to ourclient and ensure that our client is completely satisfied with thedesign. That is exactly what the designer here ultimately was trying to achieve throughout the process and he did it very flawlessly.
