Isadora is a women's clothing brand based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The unique selling proposition of the brand is their brand’s “wrap in a minute saree”. They intend to bring to their customers premium quality clothing and give their customers various styles to choose from. Isadora was a brand new startup when the client approached our designers to get a logo designed.
The client needed our designers to design a logo that truly represented her brand’s purpose. She also wanted the logo to emphasize the name of the brand. She felt that the logo had to have a professional and minimal feel to it.
Before we approach any design, our first step is to understand our client. We would want to clearly determine their expectations and requirements. By doing so, we are able to establish an appropriate premise that would help us crack the design.
The designer assigned with this project understood that the brand had no logo previously and this would be the very first. This gave him the creative space to explore many directions.
The client also gave the designer the creative freedom he needed. This is an important aspect that has a direct effect on the end result, the more creative freedom that the designer is given, the better the end result would be and in this case, it was certain that the end result would deliver what the client needed.
Now that the designer had a clear idea of the project at hand, he proceeded by trying to understand the brand’s name as the client wanted the logo to emphasize this aspect.
The name was derived from ancient mythology. Isadora is a feminine name that means "gift of Isis”.
Isis is a goddess in ancient Greek mythology who was regarded as an ideal mother and wife.
After understanding the meaning, the designer drafted several versions of the logo incorporating this very meaning.

Here is the finished logo for Isadora. As you can clearly see, the designer tried to meet all the standards specified by the client while also using the freedom given to him efficiently.
The logo is an amalgamation of all the elements within the logo that represent the gift of Isis, Isadora. The designer incorporated the logo within an inverted triangle because it represents feminism in ancient Egyptian religion.
The designer also used three outbound arrows to signify positive energy. As a whole, the logo follows a minimal approach and conveys all the points that the client needed the logo to convey.
The branding elements that were designed for the brand followed a similar approach.
The logo was the central part of every brand element and the color tones too were kept very minimal. This added to the sense of elegance and emphasized professionalism.
We’ve come to the end of this case study. In the end, the most important aspect to take away from this case study was the fact that giving the designers the creative space they need is an essential element in every creative process. This allows the designer to truly explore possibilities and ultimately helps the designer to give you more options.
