Client

iTrade Telematics is an IOT solutions provider which deals in devices used for GPS Tracking and Fuel Monitoring. Their devices keep an eye on fuel consumption and notify the respective owner about fuel theft attempts and detect fuel filling data right away.

I-Trade

With iTrade’s surveillance devices, owners get Live Updates on Fuel Thefts and fillings right on their smartphones. They also provide Fleet Management Service Providers with all the products and solutions they need to succeed.

Task

To make a website as well as a mobile application that would record the activity of customers and employees, status of subscription, fuel consumption etc.

Understanding
the client

Before we approach any project, our first step is to understand our client. We would want to clearly determine their expectations and requirements. By doing so, we are able to establish an appropriate premise that would help us crack the task.

Since the client dealt with GPS tracking solutions, so they required objects like device, sensor, safety box, sim etc. for uninterrupted provision of monitoring. But they faced many issues like which vehicle has which sim plugged in it? Who installed the app and when his annual renewal is due? So the client was not able to track and manage these all activities and for that they needed a solution.

A website and an application must be able to communicate the essence of its propositions and to solve user’s problems efficiently without confusing them. It was very important for us to dig into the deepest roots and crack the development process rather than just looking at it from surface level.

We provided iTrade a website and an application, which enabled them to add details of customers, customers’ vehicle, employees etc. Through the app, they could find out which employee plugged what device/sim/sensor on whose customer’s vehicle.

It helps them track all the activities of the customers and employees alike; from total fuel consumption, user installation activity, expiry of devices to its locations. It tracks the customers’ subscriptions, generates reports and monitors annual renewal of their subscriptions.

There is a provision to raise and manage complaint in the app. It helps the client to see against whom the complaint is generated and how effectively he resolves it.

The website and app also helps the client manage their inventory, review the stock and take decisions accordingly. A staff and customer management module was added to managemanpower and customers effectively.

Conclusion

That wraps up this case study. The key in this case was to understand the importance of the vision that our client had for his brand. The collaboration was only fruitful because developers worked effortlessly to bring the client’s vision to life.
