Check the creative process and design solutions behind logo design and branding for Roadwe, a bilty/LR manager application for transporters created by visionaries from Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Roadwe is a unique approach towards maintaining and managing transport records efficiently. Transporters find it very difficult to keep a proper track of Bilty,Loading Invoice, LR and shear.
Due to this loophole there were many problems in the transporting system. Roadwe is an application that can keep a track of these factors much efficiently and helps this big process take a shorter route.
By doing so, it saves much time for transporters and deals with some of the biggest problems in transport sector.
The task was to create a a design that could look great on multiple platforms. The key was to emphasize on professionalism.
Transporters wouldn’t want to trust a unprofessional approach to maintain their records and since they were at the very heart of the venture, the goal was to create a design that could appeal to them.
The branding elements had to main a continuity across all the platforms on which Roadwe was actively engaging.
Before we approach any design, our first step is to understand our client. We would want to clearly determine their expectations and requirements. By doing so, we are able to establish an appropriate premise that would help us crack the design.
The designer assigned with this task wanted to clearly understand the client’s requirements before he could proceed with the logo design.
The client wanted a professional logo that could blend in perfectly on the digital platform. He also wanted a logo that could emphasize on a factor that could immediately help its target audience associate the logo with its intended purpose.He wanted the designer to incorporate in the logo something that could appeal closer to the transporters.
The logo design process for Roadwe involved several meetups with the client. In these meeting sessions, the designer would try to get closer to the vision that the client had for the design.
This one of these few logo designs that was finalized in a very less time. Part of the reason for this was because the designers understood the vision of the client clearly during the initial stages of the design process.
The client also clearly provided appropriate references to the designers to convey his idea to the designers.
The designers understood that the key was to create a modern looking logo whichemphasizes on the transport aspect. The goal was to create a professional logo that could specifically appeal to transporters.
This here is the final logo for Roadwe. As you can see, the designers worked specifically on creating a logo design that carried a sense of professionalism and was stylized to look very modern and fresh. The logo is a stylized “R” with a road incorporated into the design. The road is perhaps the most closest thing that transporters could relate to and this is the very reason why this element was blended into the logo design. The bold red color used in the logo not only grabs attention but stresses on the importance that this brand carries. Another important factor was to maintain a sense of continuity with all other branding elements and especially with the application itself. The designers completely understood this factor and ensured that the logo blended in with all other elements of the brand.
The branding elements for Roadwe carried the same design philosophy that was applied to the logo design. The key again was to create professional looking designs that maintained perfect continuity.
The designers worked on these very aspects and much of the branding process was kept simple and straightforward. We’ve now come to the end of this case study. This case clearly demonstrates theimportance of understanding the client’s vision.
