Shri Shankaracharya university, an insignia among the other institutions in the region is the first Campus in India to be named after Adi - Shri Shankaracharya and blessed by all present Jagadgurus. One of the College was commissioned in the year 1999 as Shri Shakaracharya College of Engineering and Technology (later converted along with other technical institutions and approved by AICTE into Technical Campus in the name and style of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus) with the goal of providing education in Engineering and Management, a close interaction with the industry, and a strong emphasis on research.
SSPU is an place where we celebrate youth and exuberance and attempt to instill in students a sense of social responsibility, human values and concern for environment. We not only strive to train the students to become excellent scientists, technologists, thinkers and leaders of the society, but also help them to mold themselves into better human beings.
The SSPU has a long and rich history. The idea was started with a college for technical education which has evolved into the large group of institution providing all the professional courses including technical, nursing, management and more. And now as the step further, the idea of a university was initiated named Shree Shankaracharya Professional University.
So the major task was to represent the prosperity and the long progressive history along with the depiction of the initial ideal for the title i.e. Jagadguru Shree Shankaracharya himself.
